If you know of Mr. Rogers, then you know the jingle ”It’s A Wonderful Day In The Neighborhood.” It may be a wonderful day for you when it comes to peace, but for many in the world, not so much. Lord, may Your peace be with me on this day, and may Your peace be shared with the whole world in a time when the world desperately needs Your kind of peace.
Fred Rogers is speaking about civil peace, but I know, Lord, the peace you desire only comes through knowing You, loving You, and others. Help me know You deeper so I can then love my neighbor in a way that helps bring others shalom/peace.
Reflection Question: Do you strive to deliver the kind of love, peace, and justice that Mr. Rogers suggests so everyone can experience a wonderful day in the neighborhood?
