Well Done Good and Faithful Trusted Servant

March 29, 2021 By Harold Long Leave a Comment

“God’s faithful servant has no desire for people to say or to give to him, or what he likes to hear or see, for his first and greatest aim is to hear what is most pleasing to God.” ~ Saint Augustine

The most extraordinary experience and contribution you can ever make to the world and the kingdom of God is to allow the grace of God to transform you from a taker to a trusted servant. Living life like a sponge, trying to soak up everything you can in this life only leads to loneliness and despair. Dying to yourself and giving up your life for others is a life well lived and filled with the promises of God. Jesus gave up His life for you, and in return, He is asking you to give up your life for Him.

The day will come sooner than later when life on earth, as you know it, will cease to exist. You will perish and go to be with God or not; the choice is yours. If you say yes to God in this life, and commit to a life of love and service, when the race comes to an end, Jesus and those who went before you will be giving you spiritual high-fives as you cross the finish line. They will all be shouting, “WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.” What a glorious and triumphant day that will be for you, the taker turned good and faithful servant.

Lord, thank You for rescuing me from myself. Thank You for never giving up on me, even at my worst. You gave up Your life and saved mine. Now you ask me to give up my life, become a trusted servant, and commit to a life of love and service. Please remove any wickedness that still lingers in my soul, and grant me the willingness to concede my will over to You and embrace Your will for my life. In Your Spirit and Name, I pray these things. May Your will not mine, always materialize, now and forever, Amen.
