“There is only one happiness in life to love and be loved.” ~ George Sand
Life offers us two pathways: The Happy Way or The Scoffers Way. God created humans with free will, so we have the liberty to choose our path, despite our present circumstances. Both ways require a certain attitude, faith, and commitment. One path leads to happiness and countless blessings, and the other way leads to loneliness, fear, calamity, futility, and despair.
The path we choose determines who we follow, the principles we live by, and the people we allow in our inner circle. We can choose to be in charge of our own lives and navigate our way, or we can ask God to be the admiral and lead navigator for our lives. We can practice spiritual principles in all of our affairs or live a worldly life fueled by self-propulsion. We can surround ourselves with God-centered family and friends or choose to hang around people who will always lead us astray.
If you are not enjoying the happy way, it’s time to change paths and alter the people, places, and things in your life.
If you live the scoffer’s way, time is of the essence if you wish to change directions. Life will keep bringing us back to the turning point in the road until it doesn’t. By then, it’s too late because we have reached the point of no return. Both paths lead to God, and every knee shall bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord before God. (Philippians 2:10-11) All roads lead to God, but the path we choose to get there will determine our future with or without God’s presence.
Please choose wisely; your future on earth and in the Kingdom of heaven is at stake.
If you choose to go it alone on earth, you choose to go it alone for eternity. Hell is simply the absence of God. You can experience hell on earth and in eternity; the choice is yours. God desires nothing more than to be present in your life on earth and for eternity, but you decide if God’s in or if God’s out. The scoffer chooses to go it alone, denying God in every way and living for themself. The happy person chooses to love God, love others, and help usher the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.
Is there any doubt about which path is the right path to take?
God of love, thank You for the gift of free will, all though it feels like a curse at times. Please help me discern the path I am on, and grant me the courage to make any necessary changes to the people, places, and things in my life. I desire nothing more than to trudge the happy path with You, and I know I need Your power to stay the course. Please grant me the willingness and strength to choose rightly, and remove any delusions or illusions that blur Your will for my life and the path I am to take. In Your Spirit and Name, I pray these things. May Your will not mine always materialize, now and forever. Amen.
