Problem or a Blessing?

April 17, 2021 By Harold Long Leave a Comment

“Many problems are blessings in disguise” ~ Leslie Stone

Take a moment to reflect on your life. Think about those situations you have considered “problems” in your past. How many of those problems turned out to be a blessing in disguise? Consider how God was able to produce blessings from your problems (Romans 8:28). The key to overcoming any problem is getting down to causes and conditions by discovering, uncovering, discarding, and moving from the problem to the solution ASAP. God will allow us to repeat the lesson repeatedly until the problem is rectified, the blessing is received, or both materialize. If your current problem is smothering you and seems impossible to overcome, then stand in front of a mirror, and you can look your problem square in the eyes. While you stand there, ask yourself this question, “How big is my God?” Is your problem too big that the Creator of the universe can’t help you overcome it? God could and would move your situation from a problem to a blessing if sought. Seek wise counsel, confess the problem in detail, right any wrong on your part, then focus your thinking and actions towards loving God, loving others, and helping transform the world.

Lord, today I hand my problem to you. Please give me the courage to seek a trusted friend or advisor, grant me the willingness to confess my problem in detail, and the courage to right any wrongs I have committed. I know You can work all things together for good for those who love You.  I love You, Lord, and know I am called according to Your purpose. Thank you for turning my problems into blessings, and I trust You will do the same with this problem I am currently experiencing. In Your Spirit and Name, I pray these things. May Your will not mine always materialize, now and forever. Amen.
