Morbid Isolation

Morbid Isolation

Most creatures, including humankind, when ill or injured, tend to run and isolate themselves. The principalities and powers of this earth influence our decisions to pursue isolation as a solution when, in reality, we are about to be devoured.

Illnesses like addiction, alcoholism, and mental illness feed off of isolation. The nature of such disorders is an intentional act. Their tactical pursuit is to isolate their victim then devour them. Periods in time like the world is experiencing right now with COVID-19 force humankind to self-isolate, which only exacerbates isolation.

Heavenly Father, help me not isolate and fall into extreme self-obsession, self-pity, and self-loathing. Grant me the strength, courage, willingness, humility, and honesty to invite others into my life and welcome those who stand at the door and knock, including You. Break the shackles of isolation and set me free from the teeth of the calamities I am experiencing.

Father God, you created humankind for relationships. Amid this current pandemic, which is requiring forced isolation, we need each other more than ever. Lord, allow me to experience the power of being in direct connection with You and the people about me, so You can use my weaknesses to help bless others in need.

In Love & Service,

HALO
