Kingdom Redemption

January 20, 2021 By Harold Long Leave a Comment

What does it mean to be redeemed? Is God still redeeming humankind? Or has all of humanity and creation already been redeemed by way of Jesus, the cross, and resurrection? What does it take for a person to be redeemed? Are there any in the world that God will never redeem? These are all fair questions to ask when it comes to the topic of redemption. Redemption is the hope we have as kingdom people. Because of Jesus, all of creation will be redeemed on earth as it is in heaven. Think of the worst leader or person you know. Do you believe that person will be redeemed? More than just mumbling yes with your lips and doubting in your heart, do believe that all of humanity, even the people you despise, will be redeemed, then you have the heart and mind of the kingdom. If you don’t, then you need to study the Gospel of the Kingdom more thoroughly.

The cost of redemption cannot be overstated. The wonders of grace cannot be overemphasized. Christ took the hell He didn’t deserve so we could have the heaven we don’t deserve. ~ Randy Alcorn

Prayer

Lord, because of Your sacrifice, the cross, and resurrection, I am redeemed. Thank you for the grace You bestowed on my life and for all of creation because of the gift of Your life. Please help me better communicate your redemptive power to everyone in my path so that I can be of maximum service to Your kingdom, helping bring forth the kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. In Your Spirit and Name, I pray these things. Amen.
