Hope In Our Trials

You are probably ready for 2020 to be over unless maybe you are profiting during this pandemic at the expense of COVID-19. By now, you know someone who has contracted COVID-19, and you most likely know someone who has lost their life to this nasty virus. It’s hard to have hope as we move toward the Christmas season, knowing that COVID-19 is spiking in many places, and social distancing and stay-at-home orders are still prevalent in many areas throughout the world. Despite all the hardships, you can still find hope. The best selling book of all time has a lot to say about hope in the midst of trials:

Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)

Faith in Action

11 Now, faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Lord, help me know that you’ll take the evil this coronavirus delivers and create countless blessings for us all. Help me have faith and persevere, one day at a time, as I face this trial head-on. Please show me how I can be of maximum service to those about me this holiday season and grant me the willingness to carry it out.

Reflection Question: What will you do this Christmas season to provide hope for others? A selfless act of love and service in the midst of your trials is the key to discovering hope when times are tough and friend times are tough.

In Love & Service,

HALO
