The Super Bowl will draw an audience of over 100,000 million people from all around the world. At the end of the game, the NFL will recognize a player(s) as the MVP of the game. In the realm of the Spirit, we don’t go from bad to good or sick to well; we go to the One who has all power. There are no awards for runner up or effort; all the glory and praise go to the MVP, which is God.
Because humans have free will, we can easily find ourselves outside the will of God, attempting to manage our own lives. It is not our hurts, habits, or hang-ups that keep up from living into God’s eternal purpose as much as it is our good behaviors. The natural goodness we start to develop in our spiritual walk can compromise our full surrender to God. These natural virtues labeled good can become the enemy of the best. If we want to live the kingdom life fully, then we need to turn our will and lives fully over to the MVP of the kingdom.

Prayer
Lord, thank you for being the MVP of my life. There are times I find myself struggling to live the kingdom life and more concerned about my worldly life. Please remove from me the desire to want to manage my own life. Please grant me the courage to go to any length to live the kingdom life. In Your Spirit and Name, I pray these things. May Your will and not mine be done always and forever. Amen

HALO, You are right on!
Thank you, Lou, and it’s great seeing you at church on Sundays.
