Hard Christmas Candy

Hard Christmas Candy

2020 has been a challenging year for everyone. The song “Hard Christmas Candy,” written by Carol Hall, refers to times where families who didn’t have much money could only afford to purchase hard candy, often referred to as “penny candy” for their family for Christmas. Many are experiencing a hard candy Christmas this year due to finances, the COVID-19 illness, loss of a loved one, loss of a job, relationship dissolving, etc. Lord, it’s been hard on us all, but without You, it’s impossible to get through the rest of this year with any real hope, peace, joy, or love for others. Please help me help those who are experiencing a hard candy Christmas this year.

This COVID Christmas offers many ways to bless others. Father God, those who follow Your practices desire to live a life of love and service. Help me choose loving and serving others more than myself this Christmas season.
