Bilateral Affection

Bilateral Affection

If you wish to receive hope, peace, joy, and love during the Christmas season, you must share hope, peace, joy, and love with others. Lord, only through Your power can I give what I wish to receive; please grant me that power.

The human condition is grounded in a unilateral quest for affection. You are either a taker or a giver. To move from a unilateral way of living to a bilateral way of living, you must move from a taker to a giver. For most people, this shift in life requires a spiritual transformation that only a personal relationship with God can secure. My creator, help me make the shift from a taker to a giver by turning my will and my life over to You.
